Comparing a new daily contact lens to a current lens for nearsightedness

MyopiaSoft Contact LensesDaily Disposable Soft Contact Lenses

This trial tests if a new silicone hydrogel daily disposable contact lens (ST-1) is as safe and effective as an already approved lens (Miru 1day UpSide) for people with nearsightedness (myopia). You would wear the study lenses daily for the study period and have your vision and eye health checked.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 40 years old.
  • You are nearsighted, with a prescription between -0.50 and -6.00 diopters, and you have mild astigmatism (1.00 diopter or less) in each eye.
  • You have worn soft contact lenses before, and currently wear them at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for at least 30 days.
  • You agree to not use any other contact lenses during the study.
  • You have no eye diseases, recent surgeries, or allergies that could interfere with contact lens wear.
  • You are not pregnant, nursing, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
