WoundCue Kit study for detecting bacteria or fungus in wounds

This study tests if the WoundCue Kit can change color when there are bacteria or fungi in your wound, helping doctors know if an infection is present. You'll need a wound that drains fluid and shows fluorescence under a special light.

Who can take part

  • You must be over 21 years old and under a primary care doctor's care.
  • Your wound should have moderate to heavy drainage, needing dressing changes 2 or more times a week.
  • The wound must be 5 cm² or smaller.
  • You can't use antibiotics (pills or creams) or other topical ointments on the wound now or in the past 14 days.
  • You can't be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy during the study.
