Saliva test for breathing infections in babies

Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 28 days and 24 months old.
  • Your child has a breathing problem and is being treated in the hospital (emergency or general pediatrics).
  • Your child does not have a bleeding disorder, is not on blood thinners, and does not have low platelets.
  • Your child does not have a condition that causes easy nosebleeds or a very fragile nose lining.
  • Your child is not in a life-threatening emergency right now.
