Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of esophageal squamous cell cancer that cannot be removed by surgery.
  • You have a newly diagnosed fistula in the esophagus (an abnormal connection to the windpipe or chest).
  • You have had no more than 3 previous types of cancer treatment (like chemotherapy).
  • You are well enough to be up and about (ECOG score 0-2) and have adequate organ function (like blood counts, liver, kidneys).
  • You do not have other serious medical conditions (like severe heart disease, active infections, or another cancer).
