  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You are in good general health (ASA class I or II).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 30 and 50.
  • You are scheduled for a laparoscopic (keyhole) sleeve gastrectomy.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners.
  • You are not allergic to local anesthetics (numbing medicines).
