  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are between 37 and 42 weeks pregnant with a single baby
  • Your water broke before labor started (confirmed by a doctor)
  • Your baby is head-down and you have no medical reason to avoid vaginal birth
  • You have not had a C-section or other uterus surgery before
