Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 80 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with stomach or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma (confirmed by biopsy)
  • You have had a standard D2 gastrectomy (surgery) that removed all visible cancer (R0 resection) without receiving chemotherapy or radiation before surgery
  • Your cancer is stage IIIA, IIIB, or IIIC (according to AJCC staging) and has Lauren classification
  • You are in good physical condition (able to carry out daily activities, ECOG 0–1) and your organs (bone marrow, liver, kidneys) work well enough to handle treatment
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you could become pregnant, you agree to use birth control
