MADI ACL study: a new MRI method for ligament repair

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You have been chosen to have ligament repair surgery on your knee
  • You are able to have an MRI (no metal implants or other reasons that would make it unsafe)
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 28 or less, or your thigh is less than 47 cm around at a spot about 7.5 cm above your knee joint
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You do not have severe pain, a recent surgery on the same knee, or any condition that would make lying still for an MRI difficult
