Who can take part

  • You have recurrent or metastatic esophageal cancer that has been confirmed by biopsy or cytology.
  • You have already tried and not been helped by a type of immunotherapy (PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor) combined with chemotherapy.
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have a good performance status (able to be up and about more than half the day) and your doctors expect you to live longer than 12 weeks.
  • You have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan.
  • Your blood counts, liver, and kidney function are within acceptable ranges (your doctor will check this).
