  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are scheduled for heart surgery that uses general anesthesia and a heart-lung machine
  • Your surgery is expected to last more than 4 hours
  • You have no existing bedsores or pressure injuries on your skin before surgery
  • You are not bedridden before coming to the hospital
  • You are able to cooperate and are not confined to a wheelchair or bed due to a past stroke
