Who can take part
- You must be 18 to 70 years old
- At least one big toenail has a fungal infection affecting 20% to 50% of the nail, with no more than 6 toenails involved and no fingernail infections
- The infected nail must be less than 3 mm thick and have at least 3 mm of healthy nail at the base
- The nail must be growing (needs monthly trimming)
- A lab test must confirm the fungus type (Trichophyton rubrum or mentagrophytes)
- For women: not pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding; if able to have children, must use birth control and have negative pregnancy tests
