- Your child is between 8 and 11 years old.
- Your child has nearsightedness between -0.50 and -6.00 diopters (a standard eye exam will confirm).
- Your child has never used other methods to control nearsightedness (like atropine eye drops, ortho-k lenses, or special contact lenses).
- Your child has normal eye alignment (no crossed eyes or lazy eye history).
- Your child has good vision with glasses (20/25 or better in each eye).
