Comparing two drugs for adenovirus after stem cell transplant

Who can take part

  • You had a stem cell transplant (from someone other than a matched sibling) in the last 6 months.
  • You are at least 2 months old.
  • You have an active adenovirus infection shown by a blood test (DNA levels at least 1,000 IU/mL, with certain risk factors).
  • You have not used the drug cidofovir at high doses in the last 3 weeks.
  • You have not received certain cell therapies or vaccines for adenovirus in the last 3 weeks.
  • You are not allergic to brincidofovir or cidofovir.
