- You have been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for the first time.
- Your overall health is reasonably good (ECOG score of 3 or less).
- You are a candidate for chemotherapy with azacitidine and venetoclax.
- Your liver function tests are within safe limits (transaminases less than 3 times normal, bilirubin less than 1.5 times normal).
- Your kidney function is adequate (creatinine clearance greater than 30 ml/min).
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, and you agree to use contraception if needed.
