Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a liver tumor and are scheduled for a major liver surgery (removal of 3 or more liver segments)
  • You are in generally good health (classified as ASA I, II, or III)
  • You do not have severe kidney problems (eGFR less than 30)
  • You are not allergic to arginine, omega-3, or certain nutrients
  • You can take food by mouth and are not pregnant
