Who can take part

  • You are age 18 to 74 (inclusive).
  • Your cancer diagnosis is confirmed as liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma).
  • Your tumor and the portal vein blockage are expected to be removable during one surgery.
  • There is no spread to distant organs (no distant metastasis).
  • Your recent blood and liver/kidney tests meet required levels (especially blood counts and liver function).
  • You have not had any prior treatment for the tumor (and pregnancy is not included).
