Can a magnetic field improve working memory?

This study tests whether a weak, alternating magnetic field can temporarily improve how well you hold and use information in your mind (working memory). If you are a fluent French speaker with normal vision (with contact lenses), you may be able to participate.

Who can take part

  • You must be able to give your written permission to join the study.
  • You must speak French fluently (all instructions are in French).
  • You must have normal or contact-lens-corrected vision.
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must not have any metal implants in your head, electronic devices, or permanent metal objects (like dental braces) that cannot be taken out.
  • You must not have a history of neurological or psychiatric disorders or any condition that affects memory or attention.
  • You must not have used drugs or alcohol in the past 24 hours.
