  • You can speak and understand English
  • You are willing and able to sign informed consent
  • You do not have a major mental health diagnosis (except major depression or general anxiety)
  • You do not currently have substance misuse or dependence (nicotine is allowed)
  • You do not have implanted devices in your head or chest that affect stimulation (like brain clips/shunts/electrodes, cochlear implants, or pacemakers)
  • You have no history that raises seizure risk, and you are not taking seizure-threshold or memory-affecting medications
