Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 4 and 13 years old.
  • They must be scheduled for adenoid or tonsil/adenoid removal surgery.
  • No vocal cord problems, cleft lip/palate, or hearing loss that requires a hearing aid.
  • No chronic health conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or immune problems that could slow healing.
  • No bleeding disorders or use of blood thinners, and no recent respiratory infection within the last 2 weeks.
  • This must be the first adenoid surgery (not a repeat procedure).
