- You are female and between 18 and 70 years old.
- You are scheduled to have a mastectomy (breast removal surgery) between October 2024 and October 2025.
- Your surgery is elective, meaning it's planned in advance, not an emergency.
- You are in overall good health aside from the breast condition (classified as ASA I-III by your doctor).
- You do not have a neurological or psychiatric condition that would affect your ability to report pain.
