Who can take part

  • Your child is between 6 months and 14 years old.
  • This is their first surgery for hypospadias (no prior repairs).
  • During surgery, the downward curve is measured to be 30 degrees or more after the urethral plate is cut.
  • A parent or guardian must sign a consent form to allow participation.
  • Your child does not have a glans (head of penis) smaller than 1 cm, undescended testicles, or a serious bleeding disorder.
