- You are 18 years or older.
- You had a transesophageal echocardiogram (a heart ultrasound done through the throat) for suspected endocarditis within the last 15 days.
- You also had a transthoracic echocardiogram (a heart ultrasound done on the chest) around the same time.
- You were not first diagnosed with endocarditis at another hospital.
