Double fixation for broken lower ulna bone

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a displaced break in the lower part of your ulna (one of the two forearm bones).
  • Your ulna fracture is unstable (the pieces don't stay in place).
  • Your injury may also include a break in the other forearm bone (radius).
  • You do not have an open fracture with severe skin or muscle damage (Gustilo type III).
  • You do not have a bone tumor or a condition like uncontrolled diabetes or severe osteoporosis that slows bone healing.
