Who can take part
- You must have a type of esophageal cancer called squamous cell carcinoma that is advanced or has come back after treatment.
- You cannot have had any systemic therapy before, or if you had chemo or radiation before, your cancer must have returned more than 6 months after finishing that treatment.
- Tumor tissue must show a TP53 or FAT1 gene mutation, and must not have a NOTCH3 mutation.
- You must be at least 18 years old and in good daily health (ECOG 0 or 1).
- You need at least one measurable tumor that has not been treated with radiation (or if it has, it must have grown back).
- Your blood counts, liver, kidney, and thyroid function must be within specific ranges (e.g., hemoglobin, white blood cells, bilirubin, creatinine).
