Dry needling with or without numbing injection for upper back pain
Part of Bones, joints & muscles clinical trials.
This study compares two treatments for muscle pain in the upper back—dry needling alone versus dry needling combined with a numbing injection. It aims to find which works better for pain relief.

This study compares three treatments for long-term shoulder muscle pain: exercises, dry needling (tiny needles into tight muscle spots), and a numbing shot between muscle layers. It aims to find which works best for myofascial pain syndrome.
This trial is testing a procedure called percutaneous electrolysis, where a tiny needle is used to treat painful trigger points in the upper neck muscles. It may help people with long-lasting neck pain.
This study tests if dry needling helps reduce shoulder pain caused by muscle knots in the upper back. It may be an option if you have not had recent back surgery or treatments.
This trial tests if dry needling (inserting thin needles into muscle knots) can reduce shoulder pain caused by a condition called myofascial pain syndrome. It may help if you have a specific muscle knot in your shoulder blade area and significant pain.
This study tests if dry needling (a therapy that uses thin needles to release muscle knots) can help with shoulder muscle pain. It uses special tests to measure how the treatment affects your muscles and pain.
This study tests if combining dry needling with gentle stretching or muscle energy techniques works better for treating neck pain caused by muscle knots (trigger points). It aims to find a simple, effective way to reduce pain and improve movement.
