- You have symptoms or evidence of reduced blood flow to the heart and have had a stent placed successfully.
- Your C-reactive protein (CRP) level, a marker of inflammation, is 2 mg/L or higher.
- You are already taking standard heart medications as prescribed by your doctor.
- You have not had a heart attack in the past month.
- You are not allergic to colchicine and do not have severe kidney, liver, or blood problems.
