Who can take part

  • You have narrowing in your windpipe (tracheal stenosis) that causes symptoms like trouble breathing
  • Your narrowing is either from an unknown cause (idiopathic subglottic stenosis), or from having a breathing tube or trach
  • You do not have certain autoimmune conditions (positive ANA or ANCA blood test)
  • Your narrowing is not from an infection like tuberculosis, cancer, a benign tumor, or a broken cartilage piece
  • You do not have a soft or floppy windpipe (malacia), and the narrowing is not in your vocal cord area or above
