High-risk Non-muscle-invasive Bladder Cancer

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older and diagnosed with a type of bladder cancer that has not invaded the bladder muscle (called non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer).
  • You must have had a procedure called TURBT (a surgery to remove visible tumors from the bladder) within the last 12 weeks.
  • You either had BCG therapy (a standard bladder treatment) and it stopped working, or you cannot have BCG or have not had it for more than 3 years.
  • You must be willing to not have the bladder-removal surgery (radical cystectomy) or your doctor says you cannot have it safely.
  • You must be in fairly good overall health, able to perform daily activities without much help (ECOG score 0 or 1).
