Low-weight arm exercises with blood flow restriction for COPD patients

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFRT)

Part of Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This trial tests whether doing light arm exercises while wearing a cuff that slightly restricts blood flow can help people with COPD improve their arm strength and function without heavy weights.

NCT07668921Not yet recruiting
Exercise with blood flow restriction for COPD

This study tests how a single session of exercise with a special cuff that limits blood flow affects your muscles and blood vessels. It may help people with COPD who have trouble breathing during exercise.

NCT07261293Recruiting
Blood flow restriction exercise for COPD patients

This study tests whether adding mild blood flow restriction to aerobic exercise can improve lung function, exercise capacity, and inflammation in people with stable COPD. You would exercise on a bike or treadmill while wearing soft cuffs on your legs to lightly restrict blood flow.

NCT05163600Recruiting
Exercise with or without blood flow restriction for health

This study compares how your heart and lungs respond to two different types of exercise: one with a special cuff that slightly limits blood flow and one without. It may help if you are healthy or have COPD.

NCT06756646Recruiting
Aerobic exercise and BFRT for COPD patients

This trial tests if adding a special band (BFRT) to walking or biking can help people with COPD breathe better and get stronger. It may be a good option if you have moderate to very severe COPD and haven't been in a rehab program lately.

Tainan, Taiwan
NCT07649850Not yet recruiting
Exercise training to strengthen muscles in COPD patients

This study tests whether a specialized exercise program can help people with emphysema (a type of COPD) build stronger muscles and feel less weak. The program combines regular aerobic exercise with a technique called blood flow restriction training, which uses a cuff to safely limit blood flow during exercise.

NCT06986395Not yet recruiting
Blood flow restriction training for age-related muscle loss

This trial tests whether a type of exercise using blood flow restriction (gentle pressure on the arms or legs while training) can help older adults with muscle loss regain strength. It is for hospitalized patients who are stable and have no major health risks.
