Who can take part

  • Your child is between 3 and 16 years old
  • Your child has belly pain that doctors cannot yet explain
  • You and your child are covered by a social security or health insurance system
  • You give written permission, and your child agrees to join the study if old enough
  • Your child has not had their appendix removed before
  • Your child does not have chronic or recurring belly pain caused by a known condition
  • You and your child can understand French
  • Your child has not had any lab tests or imaging (like ultrasound or CT scan) before coming to the emergency room
  • Your child has not been in this study in the last 48 hours
