- You have a non-cancerous or early-stage growth in your rectum that is at least 2 cm (about 0.8 inches) in size
- Two experienced doctors have said the growth cannot be safely removed with standard colonoscopy techniques

- You do not have signs that the growth has spread deep into the rectal wall
