- You have a known thyroid nodule that a doctor is already tracking with regular ultrasounds
- You can lie flat on your back for 15 minutes
- You do not have any active wounds, dressings, or skin problems on your neck
- You have not had any previous thyroid surgery or radiation to your face or neck
- You do not have any known inflammatory thyroid disease, like Graves' or Hashimoto's
