Who can take part
- You are a woman and at least 18 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ, a very early breast cancer) from a biopsy.
- The tumor is larger than 1 cm (about the size of a pea) on imaging.
- You are scheduled to have surgery as part of your treatment.
- You are not currently having chemotherapy or hormone therapy.
- You can lie comfortably in the scanner and understand English.
