Who can take part

  • Had a stroke affecting the left side of your brain (the middle cerebral artery area) that causes trouble speaking or finding words.
  • Are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • Started the stroke within the last 5 days.
  • Do not have epilepsy, a pacemaker, or a cochlear implant.
  • No history of major depression before the stroke, brain surgery, or significant head injury in the last month.
