Heart sounds study for early disease detection

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You can understand and sign a consent form.
  • You have had a heart catheterization (angiogram) in the last 6 months and are scheduled for a heart ultrasound (echocardiogram), or the other way around.
  • Both tests are done at Cambridge University Hospitals.
  • You do not have any unstable heart condition (like a recent heart attack, severe chest pain, severe heart failure, dangerous heart rhythm, blood clot in the lung, or torn aorta).
  • You have not had a heart valve surgery or procedure in the past.
