Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) that is either persistent or comes and goes, and your doctor plans to treat it with a special procedure called pulsed-field ablation that also isolates the back wall of your heart.
- You have had at least one episode of atrial fibrillation confirmed by an ECG in the past 12 months.
- You are not currently pregnant, are using effective birth control if you could become pregnant, and are not breastfeeding.
- You do not have any metal implants, pacemakers, or other devices that would prevent you from having an MRI, and you have no severe kidney disease or allergy to the contrast dye used in the MRI.
