Who can take part
- Your child is between birth and 17 years old.
- Your child is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and needs their temperature carefully controlled, for example after a brain injury or cardiac arrest.
- Your child is already having their temperature monitored with a Foley catheter or an esophageal probe.
- Your child can be enrolled in this study within 24 hours of starting that temperature monitoring.
- Your child has enough forehead space to place a small temperature sensor, and their forehead skin is healthy (no injury, rash, or skin condition).
- Your child does not have a planned surgery in the next 3 days, and is expected to need temperature management for at least 24 hours.
