  • Age 18 to 60 years old
  • Kidney stone confirmed by imaging that is 2–3 centimeters in size
  • Kidneys working normally (normal blood creatinine level)
  • No active bladder or urinary tract infection at enrollment
  • No bleeding disorders or blood clotting problems
  • No severe anatomical abnormalities of the urinary tract, and both kidneys must be present and functioning
