PET scan accuracy for finding breast cancer spread

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with breast cancer confirmed by a biopsy
  • Your breast cancer has spread to other parts of your body (confirmed by biopsy or imaging)
  • You are willing to have both a PET scan and a CT scan within 1–3 weeks of each other
  • You have not received chemotherapy or radiation therapy between the two scans
  • You do not have another type of cancer being treated at the same time
