A PET scan to find hidden spread in slow-growing breast cancer

Stage III Breast Cancer

Who can take part

  • You are 19 years old or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer within the last 90 days.
  • Your breast cancer is estrogen receptor-positive and slow-growing (low or intermediate grade).
  • Your breast cancer is stage IIIA to IIIC (locally advanced, but not yet spread to distant organs).
  • You have had or will have a chest CT, abdominal CT, and bone scan within the last 90 days.
  • Your performance status is good (able to carry out daily activities without major limitations).
