Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are scheduled for planned (non-emergency) upper-extremity surgery that requires a tourniquet
- Your overall health is good to moderate (ASA status I–III, meaning no severe organ disease)
- Your BMI is below 30 (not in the obese range)
- You have no existing skin disease or skin lesions where the tourniquet will be applied
- You are not allergic to paraffin oil or mineral oil products
