Stretching techniques for buttock pain from pinched nerve
Part of Brain & nervous system, Pain clinical trials.
This study compares two stretching methods to treat piriformis syndrome, a condition where a muscle in your buttock pinches a nerve. The trial tests whether one stretching approach works better than the other for reducing pain.

This study compares two hands-on physical therapy methods to reduce pain from piriformis syndrome, a condition where a muscle in the buttock area pinches a nerve. You'll receive treatment and be asked which technique works better for your pain and movement.
This study compares two techniques—instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization and PNF stretching—to see which works better for reducing pain and improving movement in athletes with piriformis syndrome. It may help if you are an athlete with ongoing buttock or hip pain that makes sitting uncomfortable.
This study compares two hands-on treatments, Stecco-fascial manipulation and Rolfing, for people with piriformis syndrome—a condition that causes buttock pain. The goal is to see which approach works better for reducing pain and improving movement.
This trial compares two gentle stretching techniques to see which one better eases chronic low back pain. It may help if you have had ongoing pain for months and are looking for a non-surgical treatment.
This study compares two gentle muscle-relaxing techniques (called muscle energy techniques) to treat piriformis syndrome—a condition where a muscle in the buttock presses on a nerve and causes pain. If you have hip or buttock pain that’s been bothersome for at least 3 months and worsens with sitting, this trial may help find a better way to manage your pain.
This trial compares two hands-on therapy methods to see which one better relieves pain and tightness caused by piriformis syndrome, a condition where a deep muscle in the buttock presses on a nerve. It may help if you have buttock pain that gets worse when sitting or moving your hip.
