Who can take part
- Your child must be diagnosed with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) by experienced speech-language pathologists.
- Your child must be between 3 years 6 months and 12 years 11 months old.
- Your child must have normal oral-motor structure (no physical problems with the mouth or tongue).
- Your child must pass a hearing screening.
- Your child cannot be receiving other speech treatment during the study, but other therapies (like language or communication device) are okay.
- Your child must have a certain level of language and nonverbal thinking skills (score of 70 or above on specific tests).
- Your child must be able to imitate 2-3 word phrases.
- English must be the primary language spoken at home.
