Who can take part
- Your son must be a newborn boy aged 1–31 days old
- He must have posterior urethral valves (a rare bladder valve blockage) diagnosed by imaging within the first 28 days of life
- Valve surgery and circumcision must have been performed before 1 month of age
- You (parent/guardian) must be at least 18 years old and able to understand the study fully
- You must be enrolled in a social security or health insurance system
- Your child cannot be on long-term antibiotics for other medical reasons, and you cannot have severe allergies to common antibiotics (alfatil, Bactrim, augmentin)
