  • Be between 60 and 85 years old
  • Live independently or with minimal help at home
  • Be able to walk on your own (with or without a cane) and do simple activities like standing up from a chair
  • Have no allergy or intolerance to milk or fava bean protein
  • Have healthy kidneys and no medical reason to avoid extra protein
  • Be able to visit the research facility twice over 30 days and drink a protein shake daily
