Who can take part
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have suspected or confirmed fat buildup in your liver (visible on ultrasound), OR be undergoing living-donor evaluation with a healthy liver
- Have recent blood test results (AST/ALT) from within the last 6 weeks or scheduled soon
- Not have heavy alcohol use in the past 2 years (more than 1–2 drinks per day)
- Not have other serious liver diseases like hepatitis B or C, cirrhosis, or liver cancer
- Be able to have a clear ultrasound image taken (not pregnant, not significantly obese, able to cooperate)
