Driving Simulator for Balance and Movement Rehabilitation

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old (or 18–65 if you're a healthy volunteer with no neurological condition)
  • You have been diagnosed with stroke, Parkinson's disease, ALS, or mild cognitive impairment—or you are a healthy volunteer
  • You can stand on a platform and have leg strength in both legs (at least a little; your doctor will check this)
  • You weigh 100 kg (220 lbs) or less
  • You do not have severe heart disease, lung disease, or other serious medical problems that would make using a virtual reality headset unsafe
  • You have not been in another rehabilitation program in the last 3 months
