- You have a hospital-acquired infection (infection caught in a hospital setting, not before admission)
- Your infection is caused by a single type of bacteria called Klebsiella pneumoniae
- Your bacteria are resistant to multiple antibiotics (at least 3 different classes of antibiotics don't work against it)
- You have not taken antibiotics in the 2–3 days before study enrollment
- Your infection involves only this one type of bacteria (no mixed infections with multiple bacteria)
