Who can take part

  • You are between 55 and 75 years old
  • You have moderate knee arthritis (confirmed by X-ray with Kellgren-Lawrence grade II or III) OR you have a healthy knee with no arthritis (for the comparison group)
  • You can do basic movements and tolerate muscle strength tests and electrical sensors on your leg
  • You are able to wear a knee brace comfortably
  • No major knee or lower-leg injury, fracture, or surgery in the past 6 months
  • No other joint diseases, nerve disorders, uncontrolled heart or blood sugar problems, or allergies to electrode gel or brace materials
