Light-Based Scan for Detecting Twisted Testicles in Boys

Who can take part

  • Your child is a boy between 1 month and 18 years old
  • For Part 1: Visiting a urology (testicle specialist) clinic for a non-testicle related issue
  • For Part 2: Visiting the emergency room or urology clinic with sudden scrotal pain or swelling
  • No history of testicle or scrotal surgery (except for one previous testicle-fixing surgery)
  • No current testicle or scrotal problems like hernias, fluid buildup, enlarged veins, or undescended testicles
  • Parent or guardian able and willing to give permission for the study
